Microsoft Teams - How to clear Teams cache
This KB article outlines the steps to clear Teams Cache if the software application is unresponsive.
Follow the steps below to clear cache in Microsoft Teams if the application is unresponsive.
STEP 1 - Fully quit Microsoft Teams and ensure it's not running in the system tray in the bottom right corner of the screen.
STEP 2 - Navigate to %appdata%/Microsoft/Teams in a File Window.
STEP 3 - Select everything in the folder.
STEP 4 - Delete everything.
STEP 5 - Open Teams and wait for it to download required files.
STEP 6 - If the issue persists, uninstall, and re-install the team’s application.
STEP 7 - Verify the end user can successfully log in and access their Teams files.
STEP 8 - If unable to resolve Teams errors, leave ticket in Help desk queue unassigned with the following ticket documentation: “Escalating to Customer Board for further assistance. Please see attached troubleshooting and documentation.”
